Name

Annie Montesano

How long have you been a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate)?

For five years, since 2021.

What inspired you to become a CASA volunteer?

I met an amazing college-aged woman who was trying to help her young brother navigate a complicated family situation, and he needed an advocate. I realized there was an organization out there that supported kids like him, and I wanted to be a part of that support system for children in need.

What do you want our supporters to know about your background?

I have four children of my own, and I have lived and worked in school settings for my adult life. I have deep respect for children, and I believe they should be listened to with great care so that they feel safe, seen, and supported.

What are your interests and favorite hobbies?

I love to read and to run. I also love spending time with my family and keeping in touch with friends, both young and old.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our community?

I am truly grateful to CASA Project Worcester County and for the opportunity I have been given to meet so many amazing, caring, and intelligent people.  I love the humanity of the organization.  Thank you!
